the week of the last

that title doesn't make that much sense, but who caresss.

Lets talk about last week: I was good friends with White Rabbit a lot. I also got to ride the train and be part of the opening of Magic Kingdom for two days...that was interesting because I had no idea what was going on and BAM there were all the hundreds of people waiting to get into the park. Scary? very much

I also got lost backstage. I was supposed to be going to a meeting with all the other college program students at 4:15 and I got off work at 4:15. So I was rushed and lost and ended up being 15 minutes late to the meeting. You know when you are in a big crowded room and that one person shows up late and everyone gets quiet and stares as that person makes their way across the front of the room and you are like "dang that would be so embarrassing"

yeah. that was me. i was that girl. Pretty sure I did pee a little and turned REAL red.
thats life though
:D

I had my first Make A Wish Family while I was playing around with Terk (by the way terk is a GIRL not a boy and from the movie Tarzan) and I spent a little extra time with them, they were so sweet and I was messing with the little boys, playing around and having fun.
I also got this little British girl who said the funniest things:
"excuse me big hairy animal, but what are you?"
"why are you not talking?"
"my mom said you cannot talk"
"how do I know if you are a boy or girl"
"what is your name"
"oh yeah, you can't talk"

She was a cute little thing
I also got some award or something from my attendant. she said I made her job a lot easier by doing my job correctly. Which meant a lot because the people at Animal Kingdom are the people that told me to not do my job 100%.

Friday I didn't have to work until noon, but got up so I could see Terry, Annette, Alexis, and Sarah from CAMP MERRIWOOD. Yes they were my first visitors, got them a discount and rode some rides before I went to work. Sarah was hilarious riding rides.
Work on Friday was interesting as well.

I was a Spare which pretty much meant if someone called in sick, didn't show, or they died or something I would take their spot if I was their size.
from 12-7 I sat in a break room and watched Disney Channel, slept, and did two random tasks for the office people.

Today, thehe today was fun. I woke up and had two funfetti cookes for breakfast, with icing of course. Reserved Samanthas and Mrs.Stewarts hotel for when they come visit. and then went to get my hair cut, well I decided to just go crazy and get a perm. It was the most painful experience. I didn't give a tip either because she charged me $30 to trim my bangs up a little. It was an experience though. I can't wash my hair until Tuesday. It is epic.

Kaitlin and I might go to Night of Joy tonight, which is at Magic Kingdom, its a lot of Christian artists and it will be epic. I'm talking Toby-Mac, MercyMe, Jeremy Camp, Skillet, Newsboys, etc

My hair really smells funny.
oh and our apartment is leaking, they had to tear up the carpet.
and they cut down trees in front of our windows.
and Kaitlin is fun.

ps. GO NCSU!

until later,

dancing in September

okay so no dancing yet. The plan is as of right now if I don't end up dancing that much I will just take some classes at a nearby dance studio. Monday nights I am taking a Open Adult Gym Class...aka get my flexibility, strength and tumbling back. Why you may ask? The best shape I have ever been in was when I was teaching/taking gymnastics. It helps with dance classes (especially modern) a LOT...like all those arm muscles and abs and all of that fun stuff. Tumbling still scares me but I like being able to do it randomly.

Sunday was a fun day. Animal kingdom all day, well, after sleeping in of course.

Monday was uh um uh um let's see here. Oh yeah, I was introduced to white rabbit. That was an interesting day. But fun :)
Got to talk to Adam which of course made everything better.
Then fell asleep at 8. :) epicness.

Today I'm friends with Pooh again. It's going quite swell so far. I've seen the cutest babies today.
I'm trying to think if anything interesting has happened.
I made rice. I'm so proud of myself. Eating it for
Lunch in about 30 minutes. Yay!!!

For the most part everything is going better.
Adam Is safe and having fun.
My roommate is still awesome.
I still love rollarcoasters.
And I don't want to go back to school. Ew.
Okay well the fun part of school just not the educational part.

I will put pictures up later.

Weh,

Today

Isn't going to be about me. My lovely Adam is leaving today for his study abroad thingy. Am I freaking out? Um totally. Am I freaking out excited for him? Most defiantly :)

When we see each other again I think it will be about 150? Days. That is a lot when you have been dating for four years. Anyways I just really want him to arrive safely and have an amazing hike and not die on it. Cause I kinda need him in my life ya know?!

Haha this is so cheesy. But this is MY blog and he is a part of my life. Which my blog is about my life. I win.

Had a fun skype with his family last night. Miss them as wellllllll

Anyways so if my blogs ever mention Adam just let me vent on how much I miss him. Cause i already do and it's easier to let it all out rather than keep it all bundled up.
I'm doing this on a bus on my phone so I can't really make sure everything is spelled and makes sense.

That shall be
All for now

I love you ahdum :)

Love,
C

the first "legit" day and then some

This isn't going to be a very happy post to those of you that are used to me being positive and happy.
Today was a really bad first day unfortunately...
During training we were told that our first month or so as we were getting into the hang of things that people would help us out a lot.
Today was nothing like that.
I wandered for about 30 minutes after getting off the bus because I had no idea where I was. I was expecting a sign or something or to follow people....the people I was planning on following went opposite ways. So I had to choose who to follow. Typical Cara, I followed the wrong people and had to go the other way. After finally figuring out what building I was to go to I was there an hour early. I wandered around the building trying to figure out what to do. I hid in the bathroom because I was scared (can't believe I just wrote that on here) went into the costuming room to waste some time and finally found the place where I was supposed to check in. They were actually really nice, told me where I was to go at what times and all that stuff.

Once into the costuming room everything was a disaster. I had never been the character I was today, I had never seen the costume, didn't know which shoes because there are a billion and everyone was talking crap about the CP (which are the college program students, which is ME) While staring at the costume making sure I had every piece this older gayish man decided to ask me what I was doing....I was really embarrassed and tried explaining to him that it was my first day I didn't really know what I was doing. He just kinda walked away. ..once into the green room I guess you would call it, the lady in charge was REAL RUDE. I stayed in a room alone all day and nobody talked to me. This is how the first two days went.

BUT updating!!! Today aka my third day into the "legit" world was much much better. I got to know Pooh a little bit better. He is quite opposite of me though. He loves hugs, being patient, eating honey, and not hurting small annoying children who seem to think it is funny punch Pooh's stomach. aka complete opposite of me. ANYWAYS, Hollywood Studios people are amaaaazingggggg and I loved it there. I worked 10 hours today :) and 9 tomorrow(friday) yeahhhh BUDDY

I do apologize for the first few paragraphs being so negative. Actually I don't...it is part of life sometimes but I moved on and now things are better. But I do want to remember about it just to know everything isn't always going to run perfect.

Here are a few pictures for my parentals & grandma :D

This is our living room, you may ask why Kaitlin is standing with the door open....I may or may not have kinda caught a frozen pizza slightly on fire and maybe there was smoke everywhere. Not saying any of that was true.....

This is the outside of our apartment. Our bedroom window is the one on the left :) and see that little lammp next to the red uhh whatever that thing says? Yeah that shines in my eyes every night. hahahaha its great, I love it.

The lovely pool at my apartment

Kaitlin and I went to visit Lindsey at the Yacht & Beach Club Resort...beautiful

I know it is really small, but our bathroom/room :)

oh...and from the previous post...coming home from a long day at work I really just wanted to sit at the table and eat. So I took care of it and shoved all of "hoarders" crap in the corner...and her stuff from the living room as well.

go team go!

that is all for now mates

love,
c

Some visuals::::

The first picture is our dining room...the place where we are supposed to eat. Well, because it is constantly covered in junk Kaitlin and I eat in our floor in our room.

The second picture is my training group...yay!

Friday, August 26, 2011

and so now it all begins...

DONE with training!
It was official today at exactly 5:23! We actually had to take an assessment test with about 45 questions, I passed... DUH!
This week consisted of working 8:30-6ish Tuesday-Friday
But it was really 5-7. why you may ask? Well in order to save money I ride the bus. The bus is SLOW and I am a worry-wart so I would end up getting to work about an hour early because sometimes the bus is full, or slow, or it gets stuck in traffic. Therefore I would get up around 5...taking the bus home takes about an hour because it stops about 4 times. I got picked up at Epot with all the other CP (college program peeps) and since Epcot has different countries there are people from different countries working there. That bus STINKS like armpit but it is really really interesting to listen to people talk and watch them. I would watch people all day if I could, it is so interesting sometimes.

ANYWAYS. What did I learn this week?
That being a Character Performer is about 10 times harder than I thought. I can't go into much detail but I can explain my sweat. :) the sweat was everywhere, I mean places you thought you would never sweat. My hair would look I just got out of the shower and during the set ( when we are in the park) I would end up with sweat dripping in my mouth, eyes, and ears. I'm talking NASTYYYYY.
I was friends with Chip from Chip & Dale the first three days and today I was friends with Max, Goofys son today. Chip & Dale are a lively bunch with a lot of energy, they have quite the imagination and like to make people laugh. Max has the biggest feet and booty EVER, he has a very hard time balancing himself because of that.
In about two weeks I am going to audition for the parades or something. Apparently the best way to get a good dancing part is to go to the dance workshops Disney Entertainment provides because the people who teach those classes are also the people who decide on parade people. So I will be doing that, no worries. It might take a while because I won't be able to make it to every workshop or even the auditions because i work A  LOT. Even if I was already a Face Character or parade person I would have had to do this training anyways....yes.

It was fun this week because after getting off work we would go to one of the parks for the evening and ride a couple of rides and chill out. It was really really nice because I don't know if anybody knows but I am OBSESSED with rollarcoasters. :D

I have tomorrow, Sunday and Monday off and then I work the rest of the week. One day I work 11 hours :O. getting that money.
OH and tomorrow I am going to one of the waterparks because we get in FO FREE!

It has been a good good week, stressful and I worried a lot, but good.
I do miss home and my crazy family and my girlsssss, and of course that boy. Which by the way he leaves next Saturdayyyy for the other side of the world!! excitingggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that is it for now,
c
